Phase 4 Decorating!

This room is coming together so nicely! With everyone's gently used hand-me-downs and second hand items I'm very impressed at how adorable this room is looking! I feel like this is our very own HGTV Design on a Dime project!

Project:  Cornice

My mom gave me her old window treatment cornice board from Features and with the help of JoAnn's Fabric (♥coupons), ribbon, buttons, and a staple gun "WHA-LA"!

Simply desinged padded cornice board for a window treatment!  Curtains were a good deal$ too from Ross, and they are even "blackout" curtains, so hopefully the "little one" will sleep better:)  But I'm not getting my hopes up!

Mark Schultz Performs Everything To Me

I Should be in bed right now but can't stop thinking about our baby's birth mom and how difficult her decision will be. Makes me very sad for her. I hope she hears this song and I hope our child feels the same way Mark Schultz feels about her decision. I pray for these things and that's all I can do, I'm glad that God listens and knows all about adoption. He has adopted me and hopefully all of you who are reading this. "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15 Goodnight♥

Phase 2 & 3 more painting and furniture

So much love has been put into this room already. Carlos and I painted; Jeremy and Eric worked on the chair rail and crown molding. It's starting to look so cute! Of course it's neutral because we have no idea if it will be a boy or a girl. It's amazing to look around and see all of this come together. The furniture was Uncle Carlos', and with the lovely paint job and new drawer pulls it looks brand new! We're absolutely amazed and feel so blessed to see how God uses people and blesses people. He always provides! He is certainly providing in these little things and we trust that He will also provide for the BIG things too!

Special Thanks To:
Mom and Dad for Uncle's old furniture
Stacey at Saggy Drawers for painting the furniture
Eric for lending Jeremy your tools and helping him with the molding
Aunt Liz who gave me the cute bench that used to be Grammy's

In the Mail!!

The day we've been preparing for since October was yesterday (March 3rd). Jeremy picked up our Home Study copies, applications, and profiles and mailed them!!!! We are now officially waiting for a phone call!!!

"Dear Lord, Please get these profiles into the hands of the birth mom of our baby. Please prepare our hearts and lives for this amazing experience and bring our baby to us when you are ready. Give the birth mom peace about her decision and prepare us to be parents again." Amen
